It's all about the Wii

So as a "present" to the family we hunted down a Wii to join our high tech family. Ryan got a tip from a Target worker that they were getting a shipment last Sunday. So being the nice guy he is, Ryan went down and stood in line before Target opened and got one of the last tickets for one!

Hunter has always been a big fan of the Xbox. He loves Spiderman, Superman, and Shrek on there. The Wii is even better because now Jacob can play. They love to do the Summer Olympics and run, swim, and even fence. Hunter is quite good and loves boxing (especially when he beats Ryan). Jacob's favorite game is running and his little feet move the entire time.

Ryan and I are big fans too...so far I can kick is butt in bowling but he beats me in everything else. Both of our arms and shoulders have been sore for days! This has been a great thing for us...we are actually moving and doing stuff together :)

Such a sweet boy

Hunter and Jacob can be very physical and rough with each other (and their friends) but it's all in good fun. Hey they're boys! But when it comes to Libby and Emily they know to be so gentle and calm.

Today Hunter was playing with Libby and he followed her behind the couch. A toy fell on her foot and she started bawling. As I'm trying to calm her down, Hunter tells me "Mom taking care of a baby is hard."

Quality Brother Time

After a rousing game of horsey, the boys settled down and had some quiet time. They layed down on the grass to check out the moon. They told us that the moon was moving because they could see the clouds moving past it.

Worms and apples are a good combination

Hunter loves playing with worms and Jacob likes to watch Hunter. Today they were playing with them and eating apples at the same time. Hey they need to build up their immune system!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

We had a good day today. We're not big going out on Valentine's Day people...between the prices and all the people it's just easier and more relaxing to stay at home. I was suprised with a homemade Valentine card. It was a construction paper heart with a picture of my 3 boys and everyone had signed it. I should have taken a picture of the final product. Here are the outtakes of trying to get the picture for the card and the winner is the last picture.

*I LOVE Jacob's face in this one. He looks so disgusted with the whole process.*

Fun outside time in February!

Reason #5 (there are very few of them!) why I love to live in Arizona: You can play outside with the hose and play pool and not freeze.

After playtime a picnic lunch is in order....they're not looking at me because Charlie & Lola are WAY more interesting.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today Grandma and Grandpa Lickman came over to help celebrate Grandma's 32nd birthday. We had a great time: lunch, cake, and playing outside.

They started playing soccer but then it soon turned into throwing the soccer ball at each other. It's been so nice out the past couple of days that clothing was optional for Hunter.

8 seconds

Can you stay on the bull for 8 seconds?? That was the object a couple of nights ago, yet the bull was Ryan. A couple of weeks ago Ryan and the boys went to the World's Toughest Rodeo and the boys loved watching the cowboys try and hang onto the bulls. The newest addition to tackle pillow fight is now riding the bull. Of course the boys love to watch themselves in the mirror which is why they are never looking at the camera. The hats were Ryan's idea. :)

It's the simple things

NFL Experience

Today we went to the NFL Experience so the boys could see Ryan and have some football fun. I sadly didn't have my camera (didn't even occur to me to bring it when we left this morning) but the boys had a lot of fun. First thing we did was ride the largest ferris wheel I've ever seen. I didn't think Jacob would be a fan, but surprisingly he did very well. They both liked being able to see everything from way up high.

After that we headed to the kids area where they bounced, threw, and ran. At each "station" they got little cards with gold football coins in them...how perfect for the boys. They love money and tokens so they will go well with their play at home.

As Hunter said tonight at bedtime:
I have 5 footballs and Jacob has 4. 5 is bigger than 4, so I have more. (with a little smile on his face)

Hunter and Jacob were both awesome football throwers (if that is a word!) and could have a pro career ahead of them!
