First Field Trip

Hunter had his first field trip today to Tolmachoff Farms. He was so excited to go and excited that Jacob could go with him. He had a great time showing off his brother to his preschool friends. They got to pick some cucumbers and zucchinis from the vegetable garden, ride the train, and go through the corn maze. At the end of the time he got to go through the pumpkin patch and pick out the perfect pumpkin. He took a long time and found the best one. Both boys fell asleep on the way home after a fun morning.

Happy Halloween!!

The boys had a great time trick or treating tonight! We couldn't leave fast enough and couldn't go to enough houses. They said trick or treat to maybe half of the houses and the other half they just walked up and smiled. :) Both boys did remember to say thank you after they got their candy.

A day at the farm

Last week we went to Tolmachoff Farms with my mom to do some pumpkin picking and seeing the animals. It's crazy how this farm is pretty much right in the city with houses all around. The boys had a great time. Hunter would have stayed with the animals the whole time if we let him! Jacob was a little wary at first and once he saw all the animals he wanted out. They got to ride a little train that was pulled by a quad..there were a bunch of school groups there so we had to wait a LONG time for that train ride! There also was a corn box that you could play in...craziest thing ever. They had a great time running up and down in the box sliding in the corn. Hunter came out with pockets full of the stuff! We tried to find a pumpkin in the actual patch area but the selection wasn't good so we found one at the front where you enter and even tho it was dirty it passed the Hunter and Jacob test. Today we will carve it with the boys' help.

Jacob Says

Here's a short (and I mean short...lol) video of Jacob playing Simon Says

Just like Daddy

Hunter and Jacob love to be in Ryan's shop to help him work. One afternoon Ryan built them their own tool bench where they can hammer nails and screw in screws to their hearts content. They feel so grown up to have their own tools just like Daddy.

Future Artists?

They were supposed to be sidewalk painting. Check out Jacob looking at Hunter...he was making sure that he was doing exactly what Hunter was doing.

Funk Fishing Trip

A couple of weeks ago we went fishing at Surprise Park. There were tons of fish in the lake and the boys caught a bunch. Hunter actually caught and reeled in his own fish! The boys loved to look at the fish once we (read--Ryan) caught them and Hunter eventually got comfortable and would touch them. Jacob on the other hand wouldn't touch them at all...too squirmy and slimy for him. Hunter was a good big brother and would help Jacob whenever he needed it.

Hunter's fish that he caught...he was so proud!
This was Jacob's fish that he caught but he wouldn't hold the line...in steps big brother!
This is one of the first fish we caught.

My stickers!

Jacob is currently obsessed with stickers. He LOVES them and I am finding them all over the house, me, Hunter, Indy, etc. Right now he's putting them on Indy's head and thankfully she is letting him. Jacob likes to put them on my arm and will tell me that it won't hurt when he takes it off....ya right!
