We really didn't need to buy that bigscreen TV

Nope, not at all. The boys would rather watch a show on our IPod than on the regular TV.

Who needs your own bed when you have Mommy and Daddy's?

Recently Jacob has been coming in our bed in the middle of the night. Hunter used to do this but has been really good about staying in his own bed, but now it's Jacob's turn. It's a good thing we have a king sized bed otherwise there wouldn't be enough room! This is from a couple of weeks ago around 1:45..notice how the 2 munchkins do not look tired at all! Ryan was ready to go sleep on the couch because I was on his side.

So now we have kids in our bed almost every other night. If Jacob comes first Hunter will usually follow, he seems to know when Jacob isn't in the room with him. They're only young once and will only want to cuddle with us for so long, right?!

Our annual burning of the tree

Ok so we're really not that white trash I swear but for the past 2 years we have burned our Christmas tree in our front yard. :) It all started last year when Ryan was cutting it up for the trash when our neighbor suggest we just use it for firewood, right then and there! It creates a great fire and smells pretty good. I try and look at it as a way of meeting our neighbors by hanging out in the front yard, granted they might think we're nuts! The kids LOVE putting branches on the fire and watching them burst into flames...good stuff, I know. :)

Why I like to shop by myself

Today the boys and I went to Fry's to get some more super cheap food with their sale. They both were sitting in one of those carts with the steering wheels up front and acting like complete morons/cute boys (however you want to view it) by attacking each other, honking their "horns" really loud, pretending to eat everything we pass, etc. By the time we were checking out I was so done. Hunter did something that just annoyed at me and I glared at him. He then grabs Jacob's face and turns it towards me and said, "Uh oh Jacob, she's mad at us!" and starts cracking up. Jacob smiles and they both go on acting crazy.

My authority is SO gone with them.

Decorating...

The Gingerbread House (they would be smelling the gingerbread house): I think there was more eating of the candy than actually putting it on the house.

The Christmas Tree: Our tree had ornaments only only the bottom 3rd of the tree. The boys thought the back corner of the tree would be a perfect spot for a bunch of ornaments.

Cookies with Grandma: Hunter and Grandma did a great job of doing cookie cutters and then decorating the cookies with icing and sprinkles. Once again I think more cookie dough went into Hunter's tummy than on the cookie sheets.

Marshmallows for lunch?

So Hunter and Jacob LOVE roasting marshmallows, not so much the eating part but definitely the roasting part. So last month during the day (yes day...lol) we lit a fire and the boys went at it. They pretty much went crazy roasting away and making a pile of charred marshmallows. They both loved catching them on fire and blowing furiously before the marshmallow fell off.

big updates coming soon

I am very behind in updating the blog but there will be a bunch very soon! I just need to upload some pictures and get ready to be bombarded with our cute kids.

Ssshhh...I don't want to say this too loud

but I think that Jacob is potty trained! YIPPEE!! (sshhhh!) We've had no daytime accidents for a week (before that it was hit and miss) and 3 dry nights! This all started back in July around Jacob's birthday but then stalled out after a week or so. I am SO excited not to have to buy diapers anymore. We just need to make sure we keep a potty in the car for those times when I hear "Mommy me need to go pee pee!" when I'm driving on the freeway.

We now have 2 big kids in our house, unless you ask Jacob when he's in a nasty mood and he'll tell you that he's not a big kid he's Jacob. :)
